SEA TURTLES AND THE BEST STEAK DINNER EVER!

Soooo, we spent most of the day like this!  AHHH!!!!  🤪🤪🤪

But the turtles were calling my name!  So we did a bit more research and Grabbed it back to Kuta TO SEE THE SEA TURTLES!  When we got there, the same little shed that was there yesterday was there with the door open.  But no one was inside.  We walked to the water to see if we saw anyone releasing baby turtles (we read they do this at about 4:30), to no avail.  We went back to the shed and a guy was sitting inside charging his cell phone.  We asked him if this was the Conservation Centre and we THINK he said “Yes.”  We asked him if there was a baby turtle release happening and we THINK he said “No, out of season.”  We asked if there were any turtles to see and he said “Yes!”  When we asked him how old these babies were, we THINK he said “one week.”  (But didn’t he just s
tell us “out of season”?)  We asked when they would be released, and we THINK he said, “too weak right now.”  So much for the Bali Sea Turtle Conservation Centre!  (But aren’t these babies SO DARN CUTE?)

And so we walked!  Sadly, we saw more turtles at the entrance to this hotel than at the Centre!

We walked until the rain started!  We stopped for a cup of coffee and people watched while sitting under an umbrella!

Then it was time for mass!  (The English mass there was held on Sunday night.)  Located in Kuta, this Catholic Church was called St. Fransiskus Xaverius.  It was a beautiful church with many friendly people!

We really weren’t sure what this sign was all about, however, John and I can assure you, we kept calm during the Consecration! 😳

Then on to a late dinner at a restaurant right next door (and down the alley) from our villa called Safa Zon.  (Matt and Val—we ALMOST went there with you guys and believe us, we should have!)

IT WAS DELICIOUS AND WE ATE EVERY SINGLE BITE!
And then we came home and went to bed!
The End!
