OUR LAST DAY IN PHNOM PENH, CAMBODIA!

Image
Our favorite pictures from our last day in Phnom Penh, Cambodia! Traveling around Phnom Penh, thanks to our Grab Tuk Tuk app, has been seamless.  Dangerously precarious, no doubt, but seamless!  The cost of rides here, however, is what is absolutely UNBELIEVABLE!  This is a screen shot of a few of our transports... We woke up this morning to a text from Matt that read, “Just in case things don’t go well in Bali, Val photoshopped one picture so it’s just us!” We followed Val’s lead (🤣 just in case 🤣) and did some photoshopping of our own!  Whew!  Now we have temple photos of just John and me! We spent the morning doing laundry, packing, cleaning up our cute condo (we’re going to miss this place) and enjoying our last few hours at the pool!  And guess what?  The water was actually WARM for the first time since we arrived!  Made for the PERFECT last pool day! And then, once all the humdrum was complete (NO, not pool ...

SPA*SOCCER*SPA*SOCCER

Nansie had a WONDERFUL Girl’s Day Out planned for us today!  And the boys decided to watch a soccer game!  Hmmm, SPA*SOCCER*SPA*SOCCER....that’s a no brainer in my world! The girls at Rene Cell were a delightful bunch! And the facials (with surprises) that Nansie booked for us were just THAT!!!  They were FULL of surprises!  Val and I had NEVER experienced anything quite like it!  (AMAZING!)   After our TWO HOUR facial, we jumped into our Tuk Tuk and made our way over to Famous Hair and Nail Salon for manicures and pedicures!  (The day kept getting better and better!) We were greeted at the door with this sign and a little makeshift stand holding hand sanitizer and a thermometer!  I don’t know WHAT I would have done if I was turned away!!!!  Luckily, all three of us passed muster! Val and I walked into the salon with our hair sticking straight up (the facial included a head massage), asked to use some ...

Rithy, our AMAZING Angkor Wat Day Tour  guide, picked us up at 4:30AM so that we could all see the sun rise over Angkor Wat, the largest temple IN THE WORLD!  We quickly found out that Rithy was quite the photographer, and we quickly forgave him for the early morning pickup, as watching the sunrise was nothing short of SPECTACULAR!  Rithy filled our brains with TONS of information and took LOADS of fabulous photos for us—so we are choosing to post pictures here!  You can click on the links to read more and get all the amazing facts on each temple we visited! 1.  ANGKOR WAT   This was an AMAZING temple to see!  Rithy brought it all together for us, with his knowledge of what it used to be like, the symbols and what they meant today, and the history of what went actually went on there.  Truly a fascinating story of an AMAZINGLY breathtaking temple!  And the sunrise was icing on the cake! This one had ...
