DO WHAT YOU LOVE; LOVE WHAT YOU DO!

John woke up raring to go grocery shopping.  I, on the other hand, was dreading it!  So, in true “Do What You Love; Love What You Do” spirit, John went to the store while I relaxed in the pool, on a float, reading my book!  It’s a tough job!!!

It wasn’t long before John sent me this picture!  But what, exactly does it mean?

At first glance, it seems that there is no toilet paper shortage here in Bali.  Yeah! Rah!  But then, when you begin to overthink it a bit, it could mean the stores are actually gearing up for a massive outbreak of the Coronavirus!  Who knows?  John and I are choosing to believe we are in good shape!

Remember that travel blog I talked about yesterday?  Well, it highlighted another restaurant we wanted to try called BaliBola!  Yup, it is officially DAY TWO of our commitment to a plant based diet!  Baliboa was highlighted as a vegetarian restaurant.  We decided to walk there because, well, we like walking the streets here!  It was about a thirty minute walk and we went past all of these Balinese Hindu temples.  And they were only on one side of the street.  And they were only the ones at street level!  Needless to say, Balinese Hinduism is alive and well!

We finally arrived at Baliboa and fell in love with place!  We entered taking pictures this way and that way only to be told, “Sorry Ma’am/Sir, the restaurant is now closed!”  Oh dear!  I should have read the entire article about it!  We asked if there was another plant based restaurant that could be recommended.  And there was—luckily for us, it was only a block away!

And if we thought Baliboa was cute, we LOVED everything about Kynd!

These words were printed on a wall inside the restaurant! 💖LOVE!💖

We even met the couple (architects) who designed the restaurant and their adorable one-month-old daughter! 💖💖💖

John ordered a Berry Colada and it came on a bed of dry ice!

These two dishes were the Sunday Specials, so John ordered one of them and I ordered the other one!

The meals were OUTSTANDING and totally plant based!  If we could continue to find restaurants like this, we just may make it to our two week goal...and beyond!

We also ordered buffalo cauliflower wings—we definitely will be making these at home!

All in all, it was a very good day!

We ended the evening with a massage, of course, and then a FaceTime call to Mike and Patte!  Happy Birthday, Sister!
