VESPAS STREET FOOD TOUR!

We FINALLY got to partake in the Vespas Street Food Tour last night! Our tour guide, Kingston, picked us up along with our drivers, Wan and Euson. If you’ve never driven in Malaysia, let me tell you, it is an EXPERIENCE! Then put yourself on a scooter—OMG! The drivers weave in and out of traffic and squeeze through pathways on either side of the cars—anywhere they see a space big enough to pull through! Unbelievable!

KWAI CHAI HONG: We stopped here to see the street art and have our first courses of dinner at Luckin Kopi! We had Chee Cheong Fan, Mee Siam, Indo Mee Goreng and Cendol. Every dish Kingston ordered for us was remarkable!

LITTLE INDIA (Brickfields): Here we ate Paper Dosai, Idily Goreng, and Roti Paneer. Every bite was FABULOUS!

CHOW KIT NIGHT MARKET: Kingston selected several fruits for us to try—we LOVED them all! We had Mangoesteen, Jambi Air, Snake Fruit, Mata Kuching, and Ciku (Sapodilla).

TYPICAL MALAYA HOME:

NASI LEMAK WANJO: Malaya Food Stop (Best Nasi Lemak in town—it better be as it’s the only thing they serve!). And it was THE BEST EVER!

OUR RIDE HOME: Oh, what a night! Our drivers, Wan and Euson, were really good! Even with all the weaving in and out of traffic and the negotiating they had to do through the wet market, we really felt comfortable and enjoyed the ride! Well done, Wan and Euson! We had PERFECT weather, and then a rain storm, and then PERFECT weather for the drive home!

Thank you, Kingston, for a phenomenal evening! We learned so much about the local foods, the local landmarks, as well as local history from you! The evening was AMAZING!

We made it back to the condo LATE and got picked up EARLY for our trip to LAOS! This is how we dressed for the flight! EVERYONE in KL is taking the Corona Virus very seriously — even John is on board—which is totally out of character for him!
