WE THOUGHT THE DAY WAS MADE!
We woke up to a blue sky with SUNSHINE this morning and thought our day was made! This was Jon’s last day in KL, and the first thing on the agenda was a tour of the Petronas Towers!
We spotted these cables off the second tower and John and I knew immediately what to look for—window washers! Oh, the education we got living in Dubai! And, sure enough, we spotted them!

After our time was up at Petronas, we hightailed it up the mountain to Genting Highlands — we had some gambling to do! We arrived, like last time, in a cloud! Good-bye blue sky and sunshine; hello Genting!
After losing our shirts at the Roulette table (not really, thank goodness) we walked around until we found Skytropolis! What an amazing place!
The boys dined on some Dim Sum before we found our way outside, in the Grab line, ready to head back down that mountain!
While we waited for Grab, two Buddhist monks came up and started ”chatting us up.” One of them asked to have his picture taken with us! So cool!
Unfortunately, as we arrived back in Kuala Lumpur, we were not met with sunshine! Black clouds were overhead, and it didn’t look promising. We got the call from Lincoln, our head Vespa driver, cancelling the evening’s tour. BUMMER! And here we thought the day was made!
We all voted on Indian as the choice for dinner, and decided to go with Trip Advisor’s top pick: Kahn’s Modern Indian Cuisine. It was in a really cool (new to us) part of town called Bangsar South. We enjoyed our last evening together. WOW, time flies!
