FIGURING IT OUT!

At 10:30 this morning, John and I ventured out to figure out the commuter train system.

We learned that flying kites on the train tracks is a “No Go!”  Chalk that up as something useful to know!

An hour later we made it one stop FURTHER AWAY from our destination!  An hour and a half later we did, by the grace of the Man upstairs, make it to the Bukit Bintang Mall —the newest and largest (and most confusing mall in Kuala Lumpur).  First, we walked around the Sungei Wang Plaza (because we couldn’t find the Bukit Bintang Mall even though we got off at the Bukit Bintang train stop).  We FINALLY located the BB mall and walked around inside, then walked around outside, and it soon became clear that this was the place to be on a Friday afternoon!

John found some good Dim Sum for lunch — the choices were slim — NOT!  Would you look at one of the food courts!

As we walked around the outside area of the mall again, there was music on the street corner!

We’re happy to say, that we SOMEWHAT figured the train system out!  After a long day of walking and walking some more, we found a delightful restaurant called “Dragon” (every table was full inside) where we enjoyed one of our favorite dishes, Peking Duck, for dinner!

Just an FYI—twelve hours after we first figured out the train stops, we Grabbed it home!
