AND THEN WE TOURED PENANG!
I promised John that, after a half day poolside, I would be ready to tour Penang! Keep in mind, our pool in KL has an AMAZING view, however, it only has FOUR white plastic lounge chairs. So the odds that we can enjoy time poolside on a lounger is pretty slim! So this pool was APPRECIATED, to say the least!
And just like that, it was time to TOUR! Our driver’s name was Sheikh and he was the ABSOLUE BEST!

No wonder the food here in Malaysia is OUTSTANDING, this spice garden surpassed every single one we have EVER seen!
STOP TWO: PINANG PERANAKAN MANSION
On our way to our third stop, we passed a corner Apple store!
STOP THREE: FORT CORNWALLIS
We just did a drive by as the site was under construction!
STOP FOUR: HARMONY STREET HARMONY STREET ART
STOP FIVE: CHEONG FATT TZE MANSION (Where Crazy Rich Asians was filmed!) This site had already closed, so we just took pictures from the outside!
STOP SIX: WAT CHAYAMANGKALARAM BUDDHIST TEMPLE (Home of the sleeping Buddha)
STOP SEVEN: BURMESE BUDDHIST TEMPLE
STOP NINE: THE CHEW JETTY
If you made it this far, you are probably as exhausted as John and I were after all that touring! And Hungry—we were beyond hungry! We had Sheikh drop us off at Bora Bora—a local restaurant recommended by a guy at the pool! Let’s just say, it did not disappoint! The calamari was PERFECTION! And the sunset wasn’t bad either!
