ALMOST IN THE 30’S!
So, John and I are ALMOST in the 30’s — days until we are eligible for Medicare, that is! We are SOOOO EXCITED! Good-bye ridiculously high monthly premiums with minimal or no coverage unaffordable Obamacare! HELLO sweet Medicare!!!! This, my friends, is a milestone! This app has been ticking for well over a year! Our countdown is REAL!
We spent the morning today at the pool and stayed there because (you are not going to believe this) we got two of the four coveted lounge chairs! Today was our lucky day! It was a beautiful morning and we enjoyed every minute relaxing and swimming in the cool water!
After lunch, John made the decision that we tackle the train system once again (against my better judgement). But tackle it we (he) did! Personally, I couldn’t make heads or tales of the map. Somehow, John could and got us seamlessly to the Bukit Bintang exit! Oh yea, it seems the major mall is called The Pavilion, which is situated in an area called Bukit Bintang! My bad!
We’ve been traveling around Asia with our dinner selections, and tonight we decided to land in Japan! Oh my! It was THE BEST sashimi and sushi EVER! The beer wasn’t too bad either! We deserved it — today felt like the hottest day since we arrived in KL! Nothing that an ice cold beer wouldn’t cure!
We haven’t seen a sign for Apple Pay in all of our time in Malaysia. Tonight, however, we saw a sign for Samsung Pay!
After walking around the area after dinner, we (John) decided to tackle the train once again! We learned that when we took the commuter train—it was really slow and we had to wait forever for each train to arrive. And it was confusing as all get out!
But today’s train, RapidKL, was a snap! We (John) had no problem navigating it and we got to where we wanted to go quickly!
Our stop for home is the Putra Mall and look what we saw as we came off the train...
It was actually a playground for cats! Several people were inside with their feline friends and everyone seemed to be getting along well! Who knew that cats could play nice?
We are at our condo now with our feet up, the doors wide open, enjoying the breeze and the view! We are happy to know that when we wake up in the morning, we will officially be IN THE 30’s!!!
